The reason Alfalfa’s came to be more than 30 years ago was the mission to make organic, healthy foods and products accessible to the mainstream world. We were, after all, one of the first all-natural, organic supermarket format stores in the United States. We wanted to be a one-stop shop where people could get all their all-natural grocery needs, and we wanted to be accessible to all. To this day, we believe in those same ideals, except this time around, Boulder knows the benefits of eating organic, local and wholesome foods, it’s just that it is not always easy to afford. That is why Alfalfa’s has created our Sustainable Values program. We have chosen more than 200 products, worked with our vendors, and even cut into our own profits so that we can make healthy eating and living affordable to everyone. Health is not a privilege, we all deserve it. Look for our specially marked Sustainable Value signs throughout the store.
