The Grapevine Newsletter – March

Welcome to March Madness in the Cellar! Not only do we have some great beer sales and beer tastings this month but we are getting ready for spring with some fabulous roses!

We will be featuring Odell’s Brewery for St. Patrick’s Day week; our tasting will be on Tuesday March 15 and our meat department is creating a delicious Runoff Red Brat for the occasion. We will also have a Guinness Pub Draught on sale. And, in case you missed Stout Month, we have Stone’s Americano Stout, limited release!

Our rose selection is just beginning to blossom! We have a very unusual Vin Gris made by a celebrated Loire wine maker, Claude Vosgien. It is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes but it comes in a typical Loire white wine bottle and looks like a white wine in the bottle. Once you pour yourself a glass you will see there is a hint of pink to the wine and the nose is delicate and floral. It is well balanced with some acidity and at 11.5% alcohol this is a soft, easy drinking rose. We also have a Tourraine Noble Joue rose that is a blend of 3 Pinots: Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir. An exquisite wine for watching a Colorado sun set. Additionally, our Tavel Rose is organic and a blend of Granache, Syrah, Cinsualt, and some other Rhone varietals. The wine is a rich color and the nose has a hint of strawberry and spice that pairs well with steak and seafood.

This month we are featuring Suavecito Tequila which is one of the smoothest tequilas around. Easy to drink either straight or in a Margarita! Also, we will have The Irishman on sale for St. Patrick’s Day. This is single malt, small batch Irish Whiskey that is will keep you coming back for more! We also have The Irishman Cream Liqueur on sale which is made with Irish cream and their Whiskey for a delicious after dinner drink!

Stop on by and give it a try!
